Clothing: The temperature drops to 23 degrees or below from midnight onwards and the winds are considered pretty strong for the Singaporean who’s so used to mainland climate. It is recommended you bring along your favorite wind breaker and extra clothing, for example, socks, sweaters, t-shirts and it is really ok if you wish to consume small amounts of liquor to keep warm. If you’re a smoker, don’t expect your cigarette or cigar to give you enough warmth, it’s largely physiological. Obviously, most of us were equipped with enough clothing to wrap ourselves like rice dumplings during the camp that no one seriously put on socks while sleeping.
Video and Stuff: We brought along our trustworthy Fuji Digital Camera and also a Sony Video Cam along to film and take shots of the entire camp. We ingeniously bought a special 10 hour endurance battery for the video cam and extra memory cards for the digital camera. All electronic equipment were protected with casing and zip lock bags against wet weather and moisture. Our reliable tripod allowed us to take steady shots and also served as a clothes hangar. It is definitely a good investment to bring your video cam because you can produce cool MTVs like what we’ve done. Check out the photo album we’ve compiled on our website and our Camp’s very own MTV. To those who are interested to get the Call of the Wild MTV (VCD) lasting 30 minutes, please email us your name and address, free while stocks last!
